The short version
We earn commissions from qualifying purchases across various retailer networks (including Amazon and others) made through links on this site — at no extra cost to you. This never decides what we recommend. We only feature products we believe are worth your attention, and we tell you clearly when a page includes affiliate links.
1. What affiliate marketing is
Affiliate marketing is an arrangement where a website (kafsmart) earns a commission by linking to a retailer's products. When you click one of our links and make a qualifying purchase, the retailer pays us a small percentage. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway — the commission comes out of the retailer's side.
2. The programs we participate in
kafsmart participates in multiple affiliate programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com) and other retailer networks. We partner with different retailers to give our readers a wide choice of purchase options.
Amazon Associates — required statement
"As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases."
Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. kafsmart is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Amazon.
3. What it costs you
Nothing. You never pay more for using our links. In some cases, affiliate links can even help us offer access to special pricing, but the price you see on the retailer's site is the price you pay.
4. How it affects our recommendations
It doesn't. Affiliate relationships are a way to keep kafsmart running — they are not a way for brands to buy a recommendation. Our editorial standard stays the same regardless of commission rates:
- We don't accept payment to feature or rank a product.
- A higher commission on one product does not make us prefer it over another.
- We will recommend a zero-commission product over a high-commission one if it's the better call for the reader.
- Every guide starts with one question: "Would this actually help someone decide?"
5. How to recognize affiliate links
Links on kafsmart that point to a retailer (for example, "Buy on Amazon" buttons) are typically affiliate links. They may include a tracking parameter (such as ?tag=) so the retailer can attribute the referral to us. Outgoing links carry rel="nofollow sponsored noopener" as required by best practice and program rules.
6. Pricing & availability disclaimer
Product data, pricing, availability, and delivery information are provided by the retailer and may change at any time. We verify this information before publishing a guide, but we cannot guarantee it remains accurate after publication. Always confirm the current price and terms on the retailer's page before purchasing.
7. Your trust matters most
If we ever breach your trust — by recommending something we wouldn't, or by hiding a material relationship — we lose the only thing that makes kafsmart worth visiting. That's why this disclosure exists, and why we keep it this direct.
